Word From The Editor The Beacon's commitment to focus on doctrinal articles that challenge the reader to rightly divide the Word of God has not changed. I hope our readers realize that publication and distribution of this periodical is done without compensation. This work is neither a solo publication, or a non-denominational periodical. It is a Missionary Baptist denominational paper and depends on it's denomination for support. Our forefathers embraced denominational periodicals and recommended them at their annual association meetings. They could diplomatically debate issues or the interpretation of scripture without becoming enemies.
